AXO Islington: Fire Evacuation

Your safety is our priority. In the event of a fire alarm, please follow these evacuation procedures calmly and efficiently.

Assembly Point: Manor Gardens

General Guidelines:

  • Upon hearing the fire alarm, immediately stop what you are doing.
  • Leave your room, closing the door behind you.
  • Do not use the elevators.
  • Proceed to the nearest designated fire exit.
  • Walk calmly and quickly to the assembly point at Manor Gardens.
  • Do not re-enter the building until instructed by staff or emergency services.

Detailed Exit Routes:

Ground Floor:

  • Exit 1: Main Entrance: Proceed through the main entrance doors to Manor Gardens.
  • Exit 2: Laundry Room: Exit directly from the laundry room to the external courtyard, then proceed around the building to Manor Gardens.
  • Exit 3: Cluster Flat G03: Exit through the fire exit within cluster flat G03, leading to the rear firefighting staircase. Proceed through the rear gate within the courtyard to Manor Gardens.

First to Fifth Floor:

  • Exit 1: Main Staircase: Use the main staircase to descend to the ground floor and exit through the main entrance to Manor Gardens.
  • Exit 2: Cluster Flats ending in 04 (e.g., 104, 204, 304): Exit through the fire exit within the cluster flat, leading to the side firefighting staircase. Proceed through the courtyard to Manor Gardens.
  • Exit 3: Cluster Flats ending in 02 (e.g., 102, 202, 302) and 03 (e.g. 103, 203, 303): Exit through the rear firefighting staircase, accessible directly from flats ending in 02, and through a fire release door in flats ending in 03. Proceed through the rear gate within the courtyard to Manor Gardens.

Sixth Floor:

  • Exit 1: Main Staircase: Use the main staircase to descend to the ground floor and exit through the main entrance to Manor Gardens.
  • Exit 2: Cluster Flat 603: Exit through the fire exit within cluster flat 603, leading to the rear firefighting staircase. Proceed through the rear gate within the courtyard to Manor Gardens.

Important Reminders:

  • Familiarize yourself with the nearest fire exits from your room and common areas.
  • Pay attention to fire exit signs throughout the building.
  • If you discover a fire, activate the nearest fire alarm and immediately evacuate.
  • Assist anyone who may require help during the evacuation.
